Ecstasy is a dark romantic comedy with action set in Scotland, Amsterdam, Berlin and Ibiza. LLOYD is bright, attractive, and lives in the moment. He possesses great career potential as a courier in a rapidly expanding marketplace, supplying the burgeoning underground dance scene with the love-drug Ecstasy. The job description includes being chased by police, customs officers, hard hoodlums and drug dealers. The life of a drug mule - while often exciting - involves coping with a gritty realism that is neither glamorous nor fun. His buddies have taken their own paths towards personal success: ALLY tries to open a Veggie Café in Edinburgh; NUKES creates crop circles in farmers' fields as part of a scam to present himself as the primary expert/tour guide regarding this 'phenomenon'; and Lloyd works with WOODSY in throwing a gospel rave at a local church to pay back SOLO, his ecstasy supplier.
